Liposuction

Some people develop a bulge of fat under the chin that persists regardless of weight loss. Other areas of the face that may include fatty bulges are the jowl line. Liposuction is the surgical technique that removes some of this excess fat. The procedure is performed in the Facial Surgery Center. Once a fat cell is removed, it does not return. However, if there is a weight gain, some of the surrounding cells may also enlarge. This surgery can be performed alone or with other procedures such as facelift, neck muscle tightening or chin implant.

Lipotransfer (Fat Transfer)

Soft tissue augmentation has been performed for years with safe and effective techniques such as collagen injections and synthetic material implants. However, in some instances augmentation with natural materials such as fat may be more desirable. Fat transfer is useful in lip augmentation and filling the hollows and depressions of the cheek and chin.
